He was ranked sixth in the Big Sky Conference in rushing, averaging 44.0 yards a game and in scoring (touchdowns), averaging 4.6 points a game.

He prepped at Centennial High School where he rushed for 3,184 yards and 36 touchdowns as a senior and was named the “British Columbia Player of the Year”...voted Senior Bowl MVP, the annual game for top graduating seniors... chosen “Outstanding Offensive Player” as a junior..first team all-state and all-conference, and Province MVP as a senior....his prep football coaches were Kevin Chin and John Gould...also lettered in track and rugby.
