Registered 80 tackles including 10.5 sacks with two forced fumbles as well as two INT's... A Joe Roth Award recipient, honoring the best junior college player in the San Diego area... Also named to the all-California Junior College team and received all-conference accolades... Helped Grossmont to 2005 NJCAA National Championship.

 

High School

Was a two-time all-state selection at Helix HS... Also earned all-CIF honors... Helped team to four straight CIF championships... Also a two-year letterwinner in wrestling and track & field.

Personal

Son of Benson and Mouna Mauga... One of 10 children with eight brothers and one sister... Older brothers Dallas and Rainbow played for Sacramento State, while oldest brothers Chris and Ben played at Grossmont, and younger brothers Casey, Hutch and Homer will begin playing for Grossmont this fall... Cousin Josh Mauga plays for Nevada, while another cousin, Starr Fuimaono plays for UNLV... Also related to Junior Seau of the NFL... Majoring in interdisciplinary studies...
