2008 Winnipeg Blue-Bombers

Appeared in 15 games (six starts), racking 16 defensive tackles, eight special teams tackles, one fumble recovery, one interception and one pass knock down. He also appeared in the East Semi-Final where he recorded one special teams tackle.

Pro Career

Nugent is a secondary ace as well as a special teams demon with a career 18 special teams tackles. In the 2007, Nugent set a new Grey Cup record by registering five first half special teams tackles in the Championship game. Nugent was originally drafted by the Eskimos in the second round (17th overall) of the 2006 CFL Canadian Draft and appeared in one game that season before he was traded to Winnipeg along with a 5th round pick in the 2007 draft for Ron Warner and 4th round pick in the 2007 draft.

Rutgers University

Nugent switched from running back to defensive back while he was at Rutgers. He missed most of his senior season with a knee injury.
