Williams started three games and started in nickel defense the fourth before sitting out the rest of the season for surgery, because of a hip and groin injury. In those four games Williams added up 18 tackles. He had a career high 8 tackles against Buffalo.2008 Special teams Player of the game/week in the 1st game of the season Sep. 1st against Army (2tkl on punt/3tckl on kickoff, with a force fumble and recovery on the 7 yd line to give the Temple leadway for the first touch of the game in our victory) Recieved Coaches player of the game to more times during the season.
